Baking Kit Kat Pudding with a Microwave Oven

Hello everyone!

I'm gonna make my first food review! I'm going to talk about this cute little chocolate bar that we all love called Kit Kat. So last Monday, I went to a shop selling Japanese snacks at Bugis Street (first floor). I was about to buy some Green Tea Kit Kat for my friend when I saw this. I ask the lady in the shop about it and she told me that it is pudding flavoured Kit Kat. WHUT? This is actually a new flavour made by Kit Kat Japan. I've tried the Green Tea flavoured (totally love it) and I know there are a lot of flavours created by Kit Kat Japan (haven't get the chance to try them yet). But this one, I gotta tell you, it sounds so cool when I heard from the lady that it can be baked. A freakin' baked chocolate bar.

Sooooo, the whole packaging is shouting to me that it is made by Kit Kat Japan.. I can't read Japanese :(

13 small packages inside

since I can't read Japanese, I assumed the checkered box is for writing some sweet messages in case you want to give this chocolate bar to a someone special? (aawww)

Since I can't read what is written on the packaging regarding the instructions on how to bake the chocolate bar, I ask the lady about it. Hey, she said that I have to look it up on the internet. Later I found the video in YouTube uploaded by Kit Kat official YouTube account on how to bake it.
Here's the link to the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkHE3jiA45w

So, if you watched the video, the chef said to bake it with an oven. BUT, I only have a microwave oven at my home and I thought 'Let's do some experiment'. This is when all started.

Instead of a baking tray, I used a china plate. Also, I did not put on some aluminium foil because I don't want my microwave oven to explode.

I only put two packages of Kit Kat Pudding. I can actually put more but I don't want them to stick to each other when they are melting.

The chef in the video did not stated on the temperature of the oven to bake it, he only stated '2 minutes and no preheating needed'. So, I put it on medium temperature for 2 minutes. But, after 2 minutes, they only looked like some melted chocolate bars so I add another 1 minute to it. Not even the timer 'ding!' on 1 minute time, I saw some smoke from one of the chocolate bar. I immediately took it out the microwave oven.

AND HERE IT IS, my masterpiece. That is the part where I saw some smoke. Completely burnt, guys. :(

OH GOD, it looks so pathetic. The burnt part looks awful and the other part are not even turned beautiful golden-brown colour like in the video. Sad.

My experiment is completely failed. Just follow the chef guys, just buy the damn kawai red oven and bake the Kit Kat there. Oh, I saw a comment made by the Kit Kat account; they remind us not to try baking other flavours of Kit Kat because they make specially for the baked Kit Kat. (Just try them! Who knows what's going to happen, huh? #badass)

Well, I tried it too without 'baking' it. It actually taste really good on its own. The vanilla and milk scent is really strong when you open the package. The taste is really sweet and creamy, I felt full after my second package. I prefer the Green Tea flavoured though, they are not as sweet as this one aaaand beacuse I love green tea. #bias

Anyway, that's it guys for the review. This flavour is a must try! Really, it taste awesome! (well, all of the Kit Kat family taste good actually. hahaha) Google if you like this post and you don't want other people to experience the same disaster like me and comments or put reactions. Thanks, see ya :)

Review on Maybelline Instant Pink Transformer

Hello everyone!

So I supposed to make this post yesterday but I was procrastinating my life so.. Anyway! Today I'm going to make a review on Maybelline Instant Pink Transformer. The pink coloured tube looks really cute and hey pink stuffs attract me so.. of course I bought it haha.

So first of all, I've already saw it few times when I go to Watson but I bought this from 'Fair Price Finnest' in Bukit Timah Plaza for SGD19.00 (or perhaps, SGD19.90? Forgive my fish memory guys). Oh, this cute pink tube contains 30g of the cream. I've been using and tried some Maybelline products (mascara, pressed powder, etc) so I thought, 'why not?'. The product said that is contains vitamin C and cherry extracts to brighten the skin with pinkish radiance. It is also good as a primer and contains SPF35 to protect our dear skin from Mr.Sun.

(before) my bare hand

I put on this much to see the result :)

This is when I blend the cream.
I must say that the texture is not watery, slightly thick. It is also a little oily, perhaps because of the SPF. And the smell of it guys, really, I just love it. Instead of cherry, I actually smelled something more like the sakura (cherry blossom) flower. It is soft but not quickly absorbed into the skin.

(after) I blended the cream. Can you see the difference?

(zoom, zoom!) so here's a more closed up photo for you to observe the result. After I applied it on, my skin smells really good. The skin also become fairer and it gives out pinkish radiance (like what was said on the advertisement). If you look closely when you try it yourself, you can see very small glitters all over the area you applied the cream. This is perhaps the thing that helps the skin to look pinkish. It also make the skin more moist.

I found out that this range is a product created by Maybelline Asia. So, they promote that is helps to make 'aegyo sal' more visible. If you don't know what 'aegyo sal' is;

'Aegyo sal' is a trend in Korean make up. It actually refers to the thick skin under the eye formed when we smile. It is very popular, a lot of girls (even boys) went for plastic surgery to get their desired aegyo sal. It makes the face looks younger and more cute.

Okay, I want to see how it works in enhancing the aegyo sal so I tried it too on my eyes.

not much of differences though :(
It is not because it is hard to see the difference from the photo but I really did not see much difference when I applied it. *Simon Cowell's voice* So, it is a NO from me.

I also wanted to see when I applied to the whole face. Instead of using it as a primer, I tried to mix it with my BB cream.

I should have put more of the pink cream *sigh*

BUT! despite the small amount of the pink cream, I could see the difference. Usually my face still looks somehow dull after I applied my BB cream. After I mix the pink cream with my BB cream, my face actually looks healthier, brighter, and a bit pinkish. LOVE IT!

So, that's it for my review on Maybelline Instant Pink Transformer. I recommend this product for people with more to fair skin rather than tan skin. They are a little bit bias, I know. It did not cause any irritation on my face, quite safe. Leave comments about what you think of the product and Google+ it if you like my review. Thank you!

Review on Johnson's Baby Lotion for adult's face

*cough*(excuse my bare face)

Hello everyone~

As I said earlier I'm going to make a review on Johnson's Baby Lotion for adults. So, here it is!

Some of us have been curious whether baby lotions are good for adults. Well, the answer is certainly YES.
Baby lotions and other baby products are made especially for baby's sensitive skin so, it is a good try for people with sensitive skin. My face is an oily combination type of skin and recently, my face is having some troubles. These parts around my nostrils area, my cheek bones, and the smile lines are very dry even after I apply moisturizer daily. I can feel my skin were burning when I apply my daily skin care and make up routine this morning.

So I looked up on the webs and I found out that these can be caused by to much usage of alcohol-containing products. Well, my Kiehl's moisturizer and toner are both alcohol-free but, I'll just give it a try. Who, knows?

You can get this baby lotion from any drug store or supermarket near you. There are actually many types of baby lotion from Johnson's baby like Aloe Vera, Bedtime Lotion, etc. I chose to try the 'original' pink version of it.

The texture is quite light, it is quickly absorbed into the skin. I like the smell of this lotion, reminds me of baby's scent (duh, it is baby lotion). Anyway, you just need this much amount for your whole face.

(before)
my face felt so dry and tight after I washed my face. It felt like I just got some botox injection or something, I can't smile properly..

(after)
of course you won't be able to see the difference. So, I'm just gonna tell you how it feels, how bout that huh?

After I applied the lotion, I did not feel any side effect. I did not feel any burning sensation on my skin and it feels really moist. It does not leave any greasy feeling on your skin.

BUT, Do take note that different products works differently on different skins. From what I've searched around the webs, some people does not recommend this product for people with oily skin as it contains some oil in it. Some also says that it has fragrance that might irritate your skin. Well, it all actually depends on how each of our skin will react.

Johnson's baby have their other line of product called Johnson's Baby Natural. If you want to give it a try but you have a sensitive skin, you can try this lotion. Well, the lotion is said to be 99% natural though. Guess it must be much better for your skin, right?

So that's all for today's review. I'm gonna post the review on 'Maybelline's Baby Skin Instant Bright Transformer' soon (hopefully tomorrow). Thank's for reading, and do comment on this post about your
opinions or your experiences. See ya~
